Miles for Midwives

This annual event benefits the American College of Nurse Midwives (ACNM) Washington Affiliate and the Midwives Association of Washington State (MAWS). The work of these two groups furthers the profession of midwifery in Washington state and improves health outcomes in Washington communities through legislative action, activism, and education.


The proceeds of this race will directly contribute to the future of midwifery. WA-ACNM will allocate funds raised to support future midwives' education through scholarships and access to other educational opportunities. MAWS will donate finds raiser to support midwives in need who are unable to practice due to injury, illness, or accident. 


Furthermore, 10% of proceeds for this race will be donated to local non-profit Families of Color - Seattle (FOCS). FOCS is led by and dedicated to serving mothers of color. By offering parent groups, community resources and events, and racial equity consulting, FOCS fulfills its vision to make sure children of color are born into a loving community that is racially and economically just

Marymoor Park, located on the north end of Lake Sammamish in Redmond, Washington, is King County's largest, oldest, and most popular park, with 640 acres to roam.

While on Race Day you will get to enjoy the lush beauty of the Sammamish River trail, there are plenty more activities to explore after the race ends, including a rock climbing wall, dog park, and a radio-controlled aircraft flying field.
